Rogers Cup - Media Information
Welcome to the 2008 Rogers Cup. Since 1881, the best men's tennis players in the world have showcased their skills on Canadian courts. The Rogers Cup presented American Express is covered by more than 400 professional media outlets from around the world.
The official name of the tournament is Rogers Cup, and it would be greatly appreciated if this official name was used in all reports.
The Media Centre
Media attending this year’s event will have access to the Media Centre which is located west of the media accreditation office at Rexall Centre. The Media Centre will be open every day from Saturday, July 19 to Sunday, July 27 beginning at 9 a.m. until one hour after the last match of the day has been completed. The centre is equipped with fax machines, photocopiers, printers, Internet, lockers and TV sets.
Parking
Very limited reserved media parking will be available on site. Additional parking is available in all public lots at a cost of $12 per session.
Interviews
The main interview room is located inside the Media Centre. Competitors are only required to attend the post-match group interviews. Attending media members will be advised before the competitor arrives in the interview room.
Media members that are interested in individual interviews after a match should direct requests through the Tennis Canada media relations staff or the ATP communications staff.
The interview area is equipped with the broadcast patch box to provide an audio feed of interviews in progress. All interviews are broadcast on the tournament closed circuit TV network. Audio and video tapes are available upon request.
Media Seating
Media seating for centre court is available in Section 126, rows P, Q, R and S. Consumption of alcoholic beverages in the media seating area is prohibited.
Catering
Complimentary drinks and snacks will be provided. Lunch and dinner will be available in the media dining lounge for a daily charge of $5 per meal.
